If you see a message saying "Meta permissions needed to change dates," your Facebook profile that's connected to Motion is missing ad account access in the Meta Business Manager connected in Motion.
Here's how to fix it:
Someone with full edit access in your Meta Business Manager needs to do the following:
Go to your Meta Business Manager.
Navigate to Users > People.
Find the Facebook profile connected to Motion in the list. Make sure it's there!
Give that Facebook profile "edit" level permissions to the relevant Ad Account.
Once permissions are granted in Meta, give Motion a refresh or hit
command + shift + r
and you'll have full access in Motion!
Pro Tip: Still having trouble? Double-check that the correct Facebook profile is connected in both Motion and Meta Business Manager by heading into your workspace settings > My connections
