How to delete organizations, workspaces, and leaving organizations

Deleting your Motion org, workspace, or account has different consequences, so please read carefully before proceeding.

Deleting your organization

To delete your Motion organization, follow these steps:

  1. Log into Motion.

  2. Click the icon in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen

  3. Select Account settings

  4. Under Organization, select Plan and Billing

  5. In the General tab, scroll down and click Delete organization.

Only the account Owner can delete an organization.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.


Deleting your workspace

To delete a workspace within your organization, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Motion

  2. Click the workspace drop-down menu (top left)

  3. Select the workspace you want to delete

  4. Click on Workspace settings

  5. Under the General tab, click Delete workspace

⚠️ This action is permanent ⚠️

Deleting a workspace will erase all associated data, saved content, and reports. This data cannot be recovered.


Leave your organization

To leave your organization, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Motion

  2. Click the workspace drop-down menu (top left)

  3. Click on Workspace settings

  4. Under the Organization tab, click Leave organization

⚠️ Note ⚠️

  • If you are the account owner, you will not be able to leave your organization. You will need to follow the steps above in the Delete your organization section of this article.

  • If you are not an owner, leaving your organization will remove you from all workspaces associated with that organization.
