Why am I seeing an ad spend limit banner in Motion?

Learn what the ad spend limit banner in Motion means, why it appears, and what happens to your account when your plan's ad spend threshold is exceeded.

What does the "ad spend exceeded" banner mean?

If you're seeing a banner at the top of Motion that says your ad spend has exceeded your plan's limit, don't panic - you're not losing access.

The banner is just letting you know that your average monthly ad spend is over your plan's limit. This average is based on the last 3 months of spend.

What this means:

  • Your access stays intact. Nothing gets turned off automatically.

  • Your Motion sales contact will help you work out next steps. We'll find the right plan for you based on your current usage and where you're headed. If you know your contact on the Sales team here at Motion, please reach out.

  • Keep using Motion as normal in the meantime. If you'd like to talk through your options, reach out to your Motion sales contact or book a call with our team: https://runneth.com/book-a-demo

Why am I seeing this now?

Previously, overage warnings only appeared when adding new data sources or under the Organization tab in Workspace settings - which meant a lot of workspaces never saw them at all. The banner is a new addition to make sure you're never caught off guard.
