Launch date is super helpful for organizing your reporting, letting you filter your ads by when they started running. This is especially useful if you want to analyze the performance of a group of creatives that launched at a specific time, whether they were part of one campaign or several.

Where to find Launch date

1. As a filter

You can apply Launch date as a filter at the top of your report. Use it to see performance results for:

  • Ads launched before a set date

  • Ads launched after a set date

  • Ads launched on a set date

  • Ads launch between set dates

2. In your table view

Launch date also appears as a column in your table view. It's a quick and easy reference point for when an ad group began running.

Important things to know about launch dates

Keep the following in mind to ensure you get the most accurate results when using Launch date filters:

  • Launch date refers to when an ad receives its first spend. However, sometimes Motion can't identify that date, and as a fallback it will use the date the ad was created in Meta Ads Manager.

  • Launch date is currently only available for Meta reporting. Right now, it can't be used for TikTok, LinkedIn, or YouTube reports.
